Peter Javorkai was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary; he is an experienced tourism professional with a demonstrated 30+ years history in the international leisure & MICE travel and event management industry (international airline, tour operator, event management, hotel operator, DMC and PCO companies). All his life he has been interested in the hotel, airline, wine & gastro business.

Javorkai is skilled in Airlines, general tourism and destination Sales & Marketing, Tourism Consultancy, Tour Operators & Travel Agents, Hospitality Industry, Event Management and Non-profitable Organisation leadership as well as international Investor representation. He has strong business development skills with a Master in International Relations & Diplomatic Studies from the Budapest University of Economics, as well as a BA Tourism & Hotel Management degree from the Budapest Business School and a postgraduate Tourism & Hotel Management degree from the Manchester Metropolitan University.

Javorkai is currently working as a freelance External Accommodation Auditor for the Hungarian Tourism Quality Certification Board as well as in his own international event & project management and tourism consultancy firm Euroincentive Ltd. In his recent employments he was CEO and Co-founder of Travelhood Ltd., a community tour booking OTA startup. His main professional experience is based on his nearly 20-year employment and ownership in the PREMIUM INCOMING DMC Group’s sister company in Hungary, part of a large International leisure & MICE tour operator group based in Spain. Besides he was engaged as MD & Co-owner for several years in YourHotel, an online hotel booking, sales & marketing representation in the CEE region where they also operated their own hotels and provided general tourism and specific hotel consultancy to numerous hotel management & operator companies.

During his early years he worked as an Area Sales Manager in MALÉV Air Tours Ltd., the Hungarian national airline’s in-house tour operator company) and as a GSA Assistant Manager at MALÉV Hungarian Airlines Plc., in charge of market research and general sales representation agreements.

Javorkai has been an active leader of the Hungarian chapter of SKÅL International, the largest global tourism organisation since 2004 and was in 2010 a founding member of MABEUSZ, the Hungarian Inbound Tour Operators’ Association.

The focus in his work is on service quality at all times and he regards the fields of his professional interest as a hobby. Besides he is strongly fond of water sports and boating, hiking in nature, skiing and reading.
