Mariana Luts is a seasoned Operations Leader with over 18 years of experience in hospitality internationally, and in the DMV area. A love of hospitality, with sharp problem-solving and analytical skills, lead to a powerful “tool-kit” used to ensure operational excellence. Known as a strong trainer and mentor, staff development is always a primary focus.

Serving as the Director of Operations for the Ampeer Residences in the historic Dupont Circle property, Mariana has been an important collaborator in developing new relationships and creating revenue streams during difficult times in our industry. She continues to seek ways to positively influence new and existing properties to engage in the community, while creating business opportunities.

Leading the team at the Tabard Inn Restaurant for 4 years as they transitioned into majority-employee-ownership solidified Mariana’s passion for multifaceted negotiations that deliver results for her partners and teams. She has proudly served as a Board Member representing Restaurants for Skal DC and for 15 years prior to that, she has navigated the Food and Hospitality scene in Washington D. C wearing many hats. Having worked with other D. C. Staples such as, Blue Duck Tavern in the Park Hyatt, Pesce Restaurant with Regine Palladin in Dupont, Passionfoods at TenPehn downtown DC, and MienYu in the historic Georgetown, she brings experience in large, and small scale, establishments with international and local guests and products. Before her career in Restaurants, she studied Political Science and Chinese Language and Culture at the George Washington University. She is an expert in wine and a lover of dogs who loves to travel to expand her experiences and apply her findings to the ever-changing hospitality world.
